Game Theory Lessons from Office Space
The traffic jam in the opening scene teaches us about N-player games
Peter from Office Space cannot seem to choose the correct lane of traffic. How does that relate to game theory? Route choices during congested traffic are an example of an N-player game in game theory, which is a game with a large number of players that you simplify by assuming representative agents and state variables.
